RDCL welcomed the Minister of Industry, Joe Issa-El-Khoury at its headquarters to discuss the challenges facing Lebanon’s legal private sector and strengthen public private partnerships aimed at boosting production, attracting investment, and addressing key bottlenecks.

Points tackled included:

• Presentation of RDCL’s ASPIRE project and the legal private sector’s priorities
• Resolving end-of-service indemnities and improving access to financing
• Fast-tracking export license approvals and VAT refunds
• Updating laws on industrial equipment imports
• Activating customs and tax incentives
• Lifting administrative and financial barriers to growth
• Developing a national industrial policy
• Reviewing trade agreements to ensure fair competition
• Enhancing the competitiveness of Lebanese industries and driving industrial growth

Minister Issa El-Khoury expressed the importance of strengthening collaboration with RDCL. He affirmed his commitment to encouraging investment, easing burdens on industrialists, updating the legislative and administrative framework, and digitizing the Ministry of Industry. He emphasized the need for joint efforts to tackle long-standing challenges and improve the competitiveness of Lebanese industries both locally and globally.

This meeting is part of RDCL’s broader mission to revitalize the Lebanon Economy and empower the country’s productive sectors through meaningful reform and collaboration.
