RDCL Meets Minister Kamal Shehadi to Strengthen Public-Private Collaboration in Cybersecurity and AI
Beirut, September 2, 2025 – RDCL President Joumana Saddi Chaya, accompanied by board member Dalia Jubaili and member Charbel TAWIL, met with H.E. Dr. Kamal Shehadi, Minister of the Displaced and Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, at his office.
During the meeting, RDCL delegation outlined the key challenges faced by the legal Lebanese private sector in the fields of digital transformation and emerging technologies, emphasizing that artificial intelligence constitutes a cornerstone for revitalizing the national economy and achieving sustainable growth. The discussion also highlighted the importance of strengthening public-private collaboration in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, as both are essential pillars for advancing economic resilience and stability.
RDCL further proposed to actively contribute to the Ministry’s work, leveraging the expertise of its members to provide consultation on technology projects of national significance. In this context, both parties reached a preliminary agreement to identify and implement a pilot project aimed at fostering innovation, building trust, and advancing Lebanon’s digital transformation agenda.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the importance of sustained cooperation between RDCL and the Ministry in service of Lebanon’s economy, and in reflection of the aspirations of Lebanese youth, guided by a spirit of hope and responsibility.
