RDCL hosted at its Headquarters a consultative meeting with a senior World Bank Group delegation, bringing together the legal private sector and international partners for a focused, in-depth exchange on Lebanon’s economic recovery and reform agenda.
The World Bank delegation included Ms. Almud Weitz, Regional Practice Director for Infrastructure, (MENAAP); Mr. Enrique Blanco Armas, World Bank Group Country Manager; Mr. Emin Bulent Ikiisik, Acting Regional Industry Manager for Infrastructure – IFC; Mr. Mohamed Zakaria Kamh, Ph.D., P.Eng., MBA (Finance), SMIEEE, Senior Energy Specialist, Energy & Extractives Global Practice and Ms. Mira Morad, Senior Transport Specialist.
The meeting addressed key priorities and practical avenues for cooperation:
- Access to finance, private sector resilience, banking paralysis, cash economy risks, and investment climate
- Judiciary reform, legal environment for investment, digital customs, trade facilitation, and e-government transparency
- Clean energy transition, decentralized power, transport, and urban resilience as economic enablers
- Youth participation, talent retention, and brain regain strategies
- Public–private partnerships and sectoral dialogue anchored in RDCL’s ASPIRE roadmap
RDCL reaffirmed its commitment to sustained engagement with international institutions to help restore confidence, unlock growth, and support a rules-based, future-oriented Lebanese economy led by the formal private sector.
