RDCL warmly welcomes the Lebanese government’s adoption of the long-awaited Judicial Independence Law—a critical step toward reinforcing the integrity and autonomy of the Lebanese judiciary. The law establishes clear provisions for the appointment and election of the Higher Judicial Council, judicial formations, the evaluation of judges, financial independence, and safeguards against political and external interference.

This marks a positive signal for restoring confidence among local stakeholders, the diaspora, and foreign private sectors, while fostering a more attractive investment climate. We look forward to its discussion and swift approval by Parliament.
