Mr. Elie Kashouh, the Head of Trade Facilitations GPA, following the USAID-supported RDCL workshop on trade facilitation: Our priority is to convince the public sector to have the private sector as a partner. In order to do so we prepared a recommendation document with the below requirements:

• A simplified procedure for trade (Import/Export) valid for customs, ministries and controlling bodies
•  A digital system
•  To have accountance and liability
•  Have an AEO standards (to create a real partnership based on scientific approach between the private and public sector)
•  Have a free zone area outside the port of Beirut.
