RDCL signs a memorandum of understanding with the Lebanese Business Council in Kuwait
RDCL & the Lebanese Business Council in Kuwait signed a MOU the objective of which is to secure the necessary communication channels between Lebanese and Kuwaiti companies.
The signature was made during a visit of a delegation of the Lebanese Business Council in Kuwait to RDCL Lebanon. The visiting delegation was led by the council’s president Mr. Ali Hassan Khalil, and included his deputies, Mohammad Najia & Charles Younis, & the Secretary-General Karim Adel Darwish. They were received by Mr. Nicolas Boukather, President of RDCL and board members Joumana Dammous Salamé & Fateh Bekdache.
The delegation presented to RDCL a document consisting of an overview of the Council’s activities since its establishment in 2021, as well as its vision and action plan to enhance ties between Lebanon & Kuwait.
Mr. Nicolas Boukhater stressed on the need for cooperation between the resident and expatriate private sectors. The latter constitutes the foundation for Lebanon’s future progress, and is to be made based on shared values including transparency, modernity, and freedom. Moreover, he considered the collaboration between Lebanese expatriates and residents as the true wealth of the country, opening new doors of hope and restoring confidence to various Lebanese economic sectors. He also stressed on the importance of creating opportunities for knowledge exchange and investments between Lebanese and Kuwaiti businesses, acknowledging Kuwait’s honorable stance towards Lebanon and its people over the years, which laid the foundation for strong relations based on mutual respect and cooperation between the private sectors of the 2 countries.
From his end, Mr. Ali Hassan Khalil, president of the Lebanese Business Council in Kuwait said: our meeting with RDCL is part of a series of visits we are conducting to all stakeholders and officials to enhance cooperation between the private sector in Lebanon and Kuwait, for the benefit of both countries’ economies. It also aims to shape a vision that strengthens the brotherly ties between Lebanon and Kuwait Khalil added that “We have also begun preparations for the visit of the President and board members of RDCL to Kuwait to effectively activate mutual cooperation”.
The two associations agreed to prepare a joint working paper and continue meetings to formulate a common vision for future steps, including concrete activities that will be announced on a later stage.
